The biggest question about wedding day photographs revolves around whether the bride and groom will see each other before the ceremony. Marianne and I will work with whatever choice you make, but you should think about the issue and alternatives.

Instead of hiding from one another, why not have a special "first look".

The wedding day leaves little or no time for the bride and groom to share only with one another. If you do a "first look" before the ceremony a private moment can be easily set up. A few pictures of the moment and then we leave you alone for what will probably be the only moments together alone. That is a time for a couple to really share their emotions and know why this day is so special. Another perfect first look can be set up at the bridal portrait session. Make that day a special event with a beautiful portrait and afterwards go out for a special dinner. You have earned it at that point!

Taking all of the desired pictures after the ceremony delays the start of your party.

If all of the group photographs have to be taken between the ceremony and the reception, it will have some impact on when you can start the celebration. Plus, it is hard to keep the attention of the wedding party and family after the cocktail hour begins.

Your hair, makeup, flowers, and dress are all fresher before the ceremony.

After the wedding tears smear your makeup and the loving hugs crush your flowers, it is hard to look as fresh and beautiful as when you are first dressed.

It is not easy to get those important pictures of you and your family along with the bridal party.

At most venues, there is just not any space to allow for all the desired preliminary pictures to be taken before the wedding without seeing each other.

Whatever choice you make, we will work to get exactly the pictures you desire in the shortest time possible.
